Why Clients See Us

People have pain issues, low energy issues, a healing crisis or inflammation issue and for many reasons either do not want to use pain medications on an ongoing basis, or have a healing need that pain drugs is making worse. They want to stop pain. The Acupuncture approach we use does this very effectively. We have several methods to accomplish this.

What Causes Pain

Pain results from many causes. The three main issues are oxidation, inflammation and a blockage of energy (this concept foreign to those not familiar with acupuncture and Asian medicine). Inflammation is the body's attempt at self-protection; the aim being to remove harmful stimuli, including damaged cells, irritants, or pathogens - and begin the healing process. Oxidation causes a reduction in the body’s ability to carry oxydgen and CO2 leading to systemic, whole body pain. The process of oxidation in the human body damages cell membranes and other structures including cellular proteins, lipids and DNA. When oxygen is metabolised, it creates 'free radicals' which steal electrons from other molecules, causing damage. The body can cope with some free radicals and needs them to function effectively. However, an overload of free radicals has been linked to certain diseases, including heart disease, liver disease and some cancers. Oxidation can be accelerated by stress, cigarette smoking, alcohol, sunlight, pollution and other factors.
  • Deterioration of the eye lens, which contributes to blindness.
  • Inflammation of the joints (arthritis).
  • Damage to nerve cells in the brain, which contributes to conditions such as Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease.
  • Acceleration of the ageing process.
  • Certain cancers, triggered by damaged cell DNA.
The technology works on the acupuncture points. How does acupuncture work: What is acupuncture and how does it relate to the therapy we offer.
Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific points located near or on the surface of the skin which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions in order to achieve the desired effect.
Explanation of How Acupuncture Works
Acupuncture points are areas of designated electrical sensitivity. Inserting needles at these points stimulates various sensory receptors that, in turn, stimulate nerves that transmit impulses to the hypothalamic-pituitary system at the base of the brain.
The hypothalamus-pituitary glands are responsible for releasing neurotransmitters and endorphins, the body's natural pain-killing hormones. It is estimated that endorphins are 200 times more potent than morphine
The technology and methods work on the same points as the needles and energize like needles, but are far more effective because the effect is longer lasting than acupuncture. The technology and therapy restores organ function and unblocks pain areas so healing can occur.
